What will you learn?

This course is for anyone who wants to understand the basics of SMS Interworking; the various elements involved, how SMS’s are routed, its commercial aspects, the charging principles, and the AA.19 agreement. In each module, the lecturer provides detailed information to build your understanding of SMS Interworking.

The purpose of this module is to establish the technical landscape and roles, preparing the student for the following module where the relations are explored.

The purpose of this module is to provide understanding about how to agree commercially in the SMS termination landscape; the market players: operators, aggregators and service provider; the types of messages based on sender; the types of messages based on destination; and the kinds of commercial scenarios based on the different market players.

The purpose of this module is to provide an understanding of how charging works in SMS Interworking. The rules behind charging and what to do when things go wrong.

One of the most commonly used Annexes for establishing SMS Interworking between Mobile Operators is the AA.19. In this module we review annex, why it’s used and what it means in relation to the core Roaming Agreements.

Dhiraj has had a broad remit, building his telecom career with the Hutchison group, T-Mobile, EE and BT before joining ROCCO. wards for Innovation and ideas.

Jason has worked for O2 UK for 10 years, Vodafone Roaming Services for 4 years, a small MVNO and two industry vendors and is experienced in Strategy and Commercial decision-making.
